In the Democratic debate there were a few points that stuck out to me as wrong or just a bad way to answer the question. A big question asked by Anderson Cooper was, “Do black lives matter or do all lives matter?” Bernie Sanders, Gov. O’Malley, and Hilary Clinton all answered, “Black lives matter.” Democratic candidate Webb was the only candidate to answer, “All lives matter” to this question. I agree with Webb, all lives include black lives. People need to stop dividing people up into special interest groups and worry about what is going to help everybody, not just black Americans.
Another point that Bernie Sanders made in the debate is how we need to start acting and doing as countries like Denmark and Norway. I disagree with this, we are the United States of America. It is almost as if he is saying how bad our country is and how we need to be like these other countries, and I say if a person thinks this way about our country he should never be president. Wealth seems to be a big issue with Bernie Sanders, Taking all the money from the wealthy and putting it toward to Fisco gap, it would even be close to 200 trillon dollars. That isn’t the answer, the answer is getting off of the ridiculous regulations because all that does is hit the poor and middle class people. I think the candidates spoke their opinions very clearly and did not try to talk over each other which was nice, although I did not agree with the points made.
