semester exam project
Creating our own problems for our Semester Exam was really nice since we got to choose problems that we felt comfortable with and had to solve them. The teacher had to check and rank to see if the were a easy, medium, or hard problems so she knew how many problems to put on the actual Semester Exam. I believe this was a successful project because having the freedom to choose and work out your own problems. The process was challenging to an extent, but I enjoyed it.
To study for the upcoming Exam I plan on attending Effi's office hours and possibly another math teachers office hours to be given extra problems and to see different ways to solve any type of problem. I will also use the textbook mostly every night leading up to the Exam to go to each chapter and run through different practice problems on my own, because that's how it will be on the test. I feel that these study tactics will help me be successful on the Semester Exam.
Reflecting on this semester, I had a very good time learning. Even though there were many topics that needed to be covered, Effi made the learning very enjoyable by putting a weird twist on each subject to help us learn the topic in a different non-traditional way. I had a very successful 1st semester in this class, I received A's on 3 of 4 tests that were given and ended up with a good first grade in this class, which was well deserved on my part.

Final algebra 2 exhibition
I really enjoyed the linear landscape
project. The assignment was to create a
picture of a landscape of some sort and make the landscape somehow have the six
forms of linear equations. I loved this
project because I got to take on the challenge of making an art piece revolve
around specific requirements. I scored a
very good grade on this project because of how I clearly understood how each
equation worked and had it clearly stated within my landscape drawing. This project showed how to find point on a
line using an equation you created to fit your drawing or to find an equation
using the points you had. The clue was
to make everything precise and everything would work out.
Exhibition Reflection: One thing I would do differently if I had to exhibit this project again I would had rehearsed my questions a little more before the exhibition because I had the questions next to my project and when they were asked to me I didn't have a answer right away I had to think a little more on some of them rather than having an answer ready. My greatest strength in math is graphing in my opinion. I just find it pretty easy to plot points on a coordinate plane and connect the dots from there. My greatest weakness in math is anything with square roots. I find square roots hard because they confuse me and its hard for me to think of the number that a square root might equal. Overall I feel that I am a pretty strong math student and I will be successful in future math classes
