Guia de supervivencia
For this project, each class member was assigned to a partner in which the project was separated into equal tasks for each partner to accomplish. Each group then chose a country to make our survival guide about. My partner and I compromised on making our research and project on Peru. Each partner was given different scenarios. I chose to write scenarios about shopping and Transportation in Peru along with writing the introduction to the survival guide. The partnership then completed an extended dialogue skit to preform for our exhibition. The skit had to be written in Spanish and English and then preformed in Spanish at exhibition.
After a few weeks of research and throughout the project I learned many interesting things about Peru. One thing that really stuck out to me in my research was how many different kinds of fruits there were, its very intriguing. Another thing I learned about Peru was that there are many interesting tourist attractions such as Huacachina, Iquitos (Amazon River), Machu Picchu, and many other different places.
I really enjoyed this project because I had the opportunity to both speak and write in Spanish. I really liked the speaking park of this project because it is a hard thing to do when you are just learning about a language, so I love being able to show off to the teacher and the community how much Spanish I have learned in such a short period of time. The writing portion of the project was pretty laid back since you could have the English and Spanish, but I liked how you ended up pushing yourself to write more and more in Spanish to how what you can accomplish.
